KUTA condemns blasphemous film | KASHMIR UNIVERSITY

Kashmir University Teachers’ Association (KUTA) has strongly condemned the blasphemous film produced by an American producer. “The Association notes with grief the increasing intolerance and extremism that has overtaken United States which otherwise pretends to be a tolerant society. This extremism was recently also seen when religious places of Muslims and other communities were targeted in US,” said a spokesman of the Association in a statement today, appealing to all segments of Kashmiri society to depict Islamic values while reacting to the outrageous act of the provocation. The spokesman said, “State agencies too need to understand the trauma which has overtaken Muslim masses across the globe and desist from using force to curb the freedom of expression, association and assembly which remain an inalienable right of every community.” The Association has appealed to the heads of Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) to mobilize their resources to put an end to the campaign of demonization of Muslims and Islam.
